The Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications for admission to a three year Bachelor of Medical Education (EDM) and a 9 (Nine) Month Higher Diploma in Clinical Instruction (CLI) Courses for the academic year 2019/2020.

Both programmes are tenable at Health Tutors' College, Mulago and awarded by Makerere University. The Bachelor of Medical Education (EDM) degree programme is offered to equip Health Tutors with competencies necessary for teaching and managing Health Training Institutions, providing primary health care services and participating in health professional education and research.

The programme is delivered on full time mode using Competence Based Training (CBT). Lectures will be held from Monday to Friday. The Higher Diploma in Clinical Instruction (CLI) programme aims at producing multi-skilled Clinical instructors who are willing and ready to support students, right from the training institutions to the health facilities for optimal practical skills acquisition.

The programme is competence based and a large fraction of the students' time will be spent in clinical practice, and learning through self-guided study and sharing experiences with other learners (IPL) inter professional learning.

The programme will be delivered on Modular basis using Competence Based Training (CBT) Approaches. Dates for Face to Face sessions to be communicated in the Admission letters.
