'It's not over yet'
If you thought it was game over for KCCA FC in the CAF Confederation Cup, think again.
After his side shipped three goals in the first leg in Owando, coach Mike Mutebi is adamant that his team still has a fighting chance against Congo outfit AS Otoho.
"It is not over. AS Otoho were just effective in the final third and we were not," said the tactician, according to the club's website.
"We where never out played at all. The difference is they buried the chances they got and we did not.
"We did not come to Congo to play a containing game and we head into the second leg with plenty of lessons from this game. We shall have to be more effective in the final third and we will score goals at home."

'Stop complaining about long church sermons'
Are you a (regular) churchgoer? Do you keep checking on your watch for when the service or Mass would come to an end? If you are, and you fret over the duration of sermons, here is a word for you from the Archbishop of Kampala, Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.
"The problem today is that people want to spend a short time inside church, yet after Mass, you see them standing outside - just chatting away," he said.
"My fellow Christians, we have to preach the word of God to you in full. Our dear Christians, bear with us."
"God gave us six days in a week and left only one day for Himself for us to thank and praise Him. That's the day we have to preach the word of God in full to you. When you start complaining of long preaching and time, really I can't understand," said the prelate.

How a croc mauled a woman in Namayingo
When a deadly crocodile dragged a pregnant woman from the shores of Lake Victoria into the deeper waters and gobbled her up, despite reported efforts by locals, the episode reawakened fears among the people of Lolwe Islands in Namayingo district.
Locals say the reptiles have terrorized them - and it is the women who fetch water and children who bathe on the shores of the lake that are at high risk.
The latest victim, 35-year-old Ruth Nyanzira, had, like many others in the area, gone to fetch water from the fringes of the lake. She would never return.

Earlier, a group of youths affiliated to the ruling NRM party returned to the streets to protest against the UK Parliament's decision to discuss Uganda's democracy.
This was the second time the group, donning yellow shirts, were taking to the streets.
But like was the case last week, they were blocked by Police personnel, with the confrontation getting physical and laced with verbal artillery.

Test one, test two
By the way, Uganda loses about $550m (over sh2 trillion) in foreign exchange annually through the importation of cars.
Most of the cars imported are over 15 years old, which poses enormous challenges, including air pollution, high fuel consumption and frequent breakdowns, leading to high maintenance costs.
Uganda's own designed and made car by Kiira Motors has just arrived at Speke Apartments along Wampewo Avenue. We are taking it on a road test in a few minutes. Elegant in looks, it drives smoothly and is evidence of Ugandan genius in innovation and engineering! pic.twitter.com/sP024LxvJy

Test one, test two
There has been buzz around a slick car in the city.
Kiira Motors Corporation has taken its second version of the Kiira EVS motor vehicle for a road test - a crucial step in Uganda's ambitions to produce vehicles.
The Beast was taken out for a 10km road test on Sunday, fueling a buzz on social media.
The four-seater executive vehicle fitted with a 60-litre fuel tank with a two-engine capacity consumes a litre per 10km in town service and 10 litres per 16km on the highway. It has a five-speed automatic transmission and an exquisite beige interior trim.

'We will keep the fight alive'
KCCA FC will also have a tricky second leg. One positive thing about this coming clash is that they will be home.
Fail to score at least four goals and you are out.
AS Otoho will be coming to Kampala oozing the sort of confidence and belief that three goals would inject in any team.

Tough trip for the Venoms
In truth, Vipers did not do any favours for themselves when they failed to at least score against Sfaxien. It will definitely be a tough away return leg for the Ugandan league holders, who are eyeing a group stage place.
Good preparation will be key, and their Kenyan tactician, who replaced Mexican Javier Martinez Espinoza a little over two weeks ago, knows they have enough time to set themselves.
"We are going into the return leg with optimism and belief. I believe we have enough time between then and now to make sure we address the areas we did not perform well and hope to progress to the next stage," he said after Saturday's game.
Vipers SC & CS Sfaxien played out to a goalless draw in their Caf Confederation Cup playoff first leg match at St Mary's Stadium.

After their frustrating first leg draw with CS Sfaxien, Vipers SC caretaker head coach Michael Ouma remains hopeful.
"It is good for us as a team to create chances, if you look back on some games we have played, we have not been good enough going forward but I'm impressed we created them, we only need to be more efficient."

Tough weekend for Ugandan teams on continent
If you are into sports and are just catching up with what happened at the weekend, it's not cute news for Ugandan teams taking part in the 2018-19 CAF Confederation Cup.
First, defending league champions Vipers SC suffered a huge blow when they were held to a goalless draw by Tunisian side CS Sfaxien at St. Mary's Stadium, Kitende.
The following day, on Sunday, 12-time league champions KCCA FC were humbled in Congo Brazzaville by AS Otoho to set them up for a difficult return leg later this week.
