Stella Njuba passes on

According to family sources, she will be buried on Monday at the family’s ancestral home on Nangabo village in Kasangati Town Council, Wakiso District.

Stella Nannyunja Njuba, the daughter of Gertrude and the late Sam Kalega Njuba, the National Resistance Army (NRA) bush war fighters has passed on.

According to family sources, Stella succumbed to cancer on Friday night. The New Vision website has learnt that Nuba had been admitted to IHK hospital in Kampala prior to her death. Sources said she had also been treated in India.

According to family sources, she will be buried on Monday at the family’s ancestral home in Nangabo village in Kasangati town council, Wakiso district. 

In 2016, Stella contested for Kyadondo East Parliamentary seat against the National Resistance Movement’s (NRM) William Sitenda Sebalu and Apollo Kantinti of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC).  Katinti won the race.

According to her mother Gertrude Njuba, there will be a requiem service at the St Luke Ntinda Church of Uganda on Saturday at 3:00pm before the body is taken to their home at Nangabo, Wakiso district for burial.

Stella, 55, is survived by three children.
