The sharp shooter enjoyed a good season that has seen him do well individually and in club competitions.

For all of Joseph Kasozi's lacklustre start to the season due to a disciplinary ban, the Skin Samona player has turned all his bad fortune to finish 2018 on high.

Last week, the Pool Christmas Cup proved that hard work pays as Kasozi and Rashida Mutesi gained traction in their quest to go up the rankings.

The sharp shooter enjoyed a good season that has seen him do well individually and in club competitions.

Following his tough start to the season due to the ban, the Skin Samona player turned everything around to become the leading scorer in the second round, helping his team finish third.

In the individual tournaments, he always made it to the quarter-finals although he failed to turn the good form into tournament wins. Kasozi failed to defend his Kampala Open title earlier this month so he put all his focus on winning the Christmas Cup.

"That victory made me very happy, many people were saying that Kasozi is finished so I was very inspired to prove them wrong," he said.

The National Open quarter finalist put more energy in his performance at the Christmas cup because he wanted to automatically qualify for the 2019 national open grand finale.

His efforts were rewarded as he automatically qualified for the national open and he will be among the top eight seeds.
