Kirinya Jinja continued to pile more pressure on Hattrick Group leaders Mbarara City in the FUFA U19 Junior League.

The Jinja-based side beat SC Villa 3-1 away in Kampala to move to 11 points, one below Mbarara City who thrashed Nyamityobra 5-1 in the Western regional derby.

Lawrence Tezikya notched a brace before Fred Massa added the other for Kirinya Jinja who have so far picked three wins in their last four games, while Frank Twesigye scored a consolation for SC Villa.

Elsewhere, Treble group leaders KCCA FC Soccer Academy went down 3-2 to Vipers away at St Mary's stadium, Kitende.

The FUFA Junior league is intended to cater for players under 19 years. It is also an obligation for all the 16 premier league sides to have junior sides.

The league is divided into two groups of treble and hattrick with each group comprised of eight teams.

At the end of the season, the top sides from each of the groups meet in the final to decide the champion of the league. Vipers beat Onduparaka 1-0 in the final to win last season's edition
