New URA FC CEO promises change in club fortunes

Kakembo replaces Bridget Nakayenga who was has been acting CEO.

 
The new URA FC CEO Ivan Kakembo has promised to improve the club's image. Kakembo was appointed CEO on a one-year renewable contract effective November 1.
 
"I am so happy to join URA FC and being under URA as an institution is a great honour. I'm so confident because I come here with great expertise in football management both locally and internationally which I believe will give us as a club an edge in Ugandan football today. I expect to lobby for the club's growth and also deliver a new brand of URA FC and ensure that the success of the club is unmatched," stated Kakembo
 
Kakembo replaces Bridget Nakayenga who was has been acting CEO. Nakayenga is also a communication officer with the club.
 
The club chairman James Kizza promised to support the new CEO and he emphasized that the board is convinced that Kakembo is the right man for the job. He also noted that the CEO has been tasked with turning the club into a bigger football brand both locally and internationally.
