Standard Invitation to Bidders

The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development is implementi ng the Green Jobs and Fair Market programme with the aim of creating green and Decent employment, enhancing labour productivity, and reducing poverty. The programme targets both educated and uneducated women and Youth through;

One of the key deliverables for the programme is the establishment of Industrial Business shelters in Kampala and other urban areas across the country that will provide workplace shelters to those unemployed persons and self -employed who lack work place shelters.

In order to embark on the implementati on of the aforementi oned interventi ons, there is a need to undertake a feasibility study of the industrial business shelters (common User faciliti es) of Mechanical: Metal, Fabricati on and Welding, Electrical: Wood work and Carpentry, Art, Design, Leather works, Textile & Tailoring, Plumbing & Construction, Agro Processing, Information, communication & Technology, Auto mobile Assembling, Maintenance and Repairs, Cosmetology and Creative Arts.

  1. The Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development has received funds form GOU to be used for the acquisiti on of Motor vehicles.
  2. The Enti ty invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above supplies.
  3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domesti c bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders. 
  4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further informati on and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below in No. 8(a) from 08:00am to 05:00 pm during the week days
