Kabale Police recover hand grenade

Police recovered a hand grenade at Kyase B village Buhara Sub County in Kabale district.

According to Elly Maate, the Kigezi Police Spokesperson, a grenade was recovered   on Tuesday at around 12:00pm at Sino Mineral Investment Company Limited land which was formerly owned by Sulaiman Kajura, who before his demise was an army man.

"It was hidden there very many years back before his death. He died 15 years back. The information about the grenade was given to Police by his wife, Sipiranzo Kajura who was notified of it by her husband while at sickbay," Elly Maate said.

 Maate told New Vision that the grenade was recovered at around 12:00pm and detonated by the Uganda police bomb squad   headed by Poltaz Bapfakurera. He hailed Sipiranzo Kajura for her braveness in volunteering the information for the safety of the people in the area.
