Professional golfer Phillip Kasozi claimed the biggest share of sh20m prize money as the 21st edition of the JBG Golf championships ended at Entebbe Club on Saturday.
This was the second win for Kasozi in a space of two weeks, having won the inaugural edition of the Serena Johnnie Walker championship at which he took the biggest pay cheque of sh25m on top of a second place finish at the sh30m Pepsi Independence tournament.
Kasozi beat Entebbe Vincent Baymukama on the second hole of sudden death after they both tied on 215 gross after the 54-hole competition to win.
Happy Robert finished third a stroke away while Brian Toolit and Deo Akope tied for fourth on 219 gross each, while Chinese golfer Garrett Chen carded 41 stable ford points to win the amateurs' contest that attracted over 120 players, while Eva Magala was the best lady golfer, edging Peace Kabasweka on count-back to win herself a brand new golf set bag, just like Chen, men's gross winner Mehta Golf Club's youngster Joel Basalaine and seniors' winner Isaac Marriera who each walked away with a similar set.
