The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has started a two-day tour of Kyaggwe county ahead of Buganda’s independence anniversary which will take place on Monday.

On arrival this morning,  Kabaka visited Sena farm owned by Godfrey Ssenabulya, in Kyampisi sub-county where he was welcomed by the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga.

At the farm, Kabaka launched the new year of Bulungibwansi by planting several passion fruit seedlings.

While addressing Kabaka’s subjects who had gathered at the farm, Mayiga said Kabaka was pleased by the efforts taken by the youth.

Citing Ssenabulya’s example, Mayiga said the youth have ventured into a number of activities including farming, small scale industries, among others.

The Kabaka also visited Kyaggwe Ssaza headquarters where he met the Ssaza head, Ssekiboobo Alex Benjamin Kigongo Kikonyogo.

He later planted a tree and continued to Ntenjeru-Kisoga town council where he opened an eye clinic at Herona Hospital. He also inspected a number of projects  in Mukono and Buikwe.
