Goal fest on opening day of the Uganda Premier League

The Uganda Premier League returned on Friday and a total of 16 goals were scored from five games played at different locations across the country.

In Arua, league darlings Onduparaka FC put two goals past Nyamityobora FC at the GreenLight stadium.

At the St Mary's Stadium in Kitende, Entebbe, defending champions Vipers managed a 1-0 win over league debutants Ndejje activity.

URA FC beat Paidha Black Angels another debutant team 2-0, at Lugogo in Kampala, Kampala City Council Authority KCCA FC beat Toro United (formerly Soana FC) 2-1 and 10 man Bright Stars were 3-1 winners over prisons side Maroons FC. In total, day one of the premier league action produced 16 goals 15 more than last season on day one.
