SOROTI - Etop Radio is celebrating its ninth anniversary by visiting the station's listeners in Teso sub-region.

The station, which is on 99.4FM, is one of six radio stations owned by multimedia company Vision Group.

A rig truck activation dubbed 'Agaali na Etop' kickstarted on Monday in Adipala- Juba market in the newly created district of Kapelebyong.

Since its inception, Etop Radio has maintained its spot as the number one listened radio station in Teso sub-region, according to a study conducted by research firm Ipsos.

The best artists from Teso have been lined up to entertain listeners in the five markets of Adipala-Juba, Kasilo in Serere district, Kanyum in Kumi on Wednesday, Arapai in Soroti on Thursday and closes in Ocorimongin in Katakwi on Friday.

Some of the artistes that are due to perform include Uncle Ben, King Daniel, Sliver Ibwalet, Francis Angiro and Chan Lee.

The station manager, Joseph Akiiso, hailed the people for their support and promised to continue serving the region with dignity and love.

"We are continuing to upgrade our signal in the region and as of now, we are listened in Karamoja, Bugisu and parts of Lango. Our obligation is to ensure that our people are informed, educated and entertained," he said.

A blood donation drive is part of the anniversary events. Prizes are offered as part of giving back to the listeners.
