Skin Samona's hopes of topping the table standings in the Betway Ladies league were on Wednesday shuttered by Indigo who defeated them 8-4.

"It is good we won today. We came determined to upset them because they underrate us, but at least they felt our strength and they now respect us," Indigo team captain Amina Faith Nganda stated.

Medals up for grabs

Meanwhile, the winners in the Nile Special Open pool regional championships will receive medals.

This will start with the ladies regional qualifiers at D-ARENA club on Saturday night and medals will be handed over to the regional champions
