CAF appoints match officials for Uganda, Tanzania game

Africa Soccer governing body CAF has appointed match officials for the 2019 AFCON qualifier between Uganda and Tanzania this Saturday at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

Eric Otogocastane Arnaud from Gabon will be the centre referee. He will be assisted by Mousounda Montel (Gabon) and Issa Yaya Mahamat Moussa (Chad) as the first and second assistants respectively.

The three will be joined by Mihindou Mbina Gauthier as the fourth official from Morocco.

Egyptian GamaL Mahmoud Elghandour and Sebit Librato Bagirasas from South Sudan will be the referees' assessor and match commissioner respectively.

Cranes top Group L (3 points) which consists of Tanzania, Lesotho and Cape Verde. They beat Cape Verde 1-0 in the opening game of the qualifiers last year. Tanzania and Lesotho both share a point having played to a one all draw in their opening group game.

Desabre will be seeking to register his second  victory as the national team coach ever since he was unveiled towards the end of last year. He has been in charge of nine games but has managed to win one game against São Tomé and Príncipe (3-1) in a friendly. He has picked four draws and four defeats.
