Bid notice from Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development

1. The Government of the Republic of Uganda (GoU) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Albertine Region Sustainable Development Project (ARSDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Rehabilitation of Selected Gravel Roads in Hoima District. 

2. The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development on behalf of Government of Uganda (GoU) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Rehabilitation of Selected Gravel Roads (118.1 km) in Hoima District. The works comprise of general Site Clearing, Earthworks, Grading, Drainage Improvement including installation of new culvert structures and raising low sections, Excavation of side drains in both soft and hard material including stone pitching of some sections and gravelling. Details of qualification requirements are included in the Bid Document. The Construction period is Twelve ( 12) Months, followed by defects liability period of Six (6) Months. 

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works, and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (January 2011 revised July 2014), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.
