Minister Kiwanda to grace Jamii Social Ride

UPDF, Uganda Police and Uganda Prisons have confirmed their participation.

State minister for Tourism, Wildlife and antiquities Godfrey Kiwanda will be the chief rider/cycler during the Jamii Social ride on September, 30 in Kampala.

Ronex Kisembo, the events director said the event is meant to bring families and communities together. It will start at the Uganda Museum and end at the same venue.

"Participants in the 15km race will pay a registration fee of sh10,000 if they have their bikes, sh25,000 if they don't and those who will cheer their families and friends on the tour bus will pay sh30,000=," Kisembo said. 

Meanwhile, the Uganda Peoples Defence Force (UPDF), Uganda Police and Uganda Prisons have confirmed their participation.

UPDF deputy spokesperson Lt. Col. Deo Akiiki confirmed the development during the launch of the event at Uganda Museum on Wednesday.

The event is Co-sponsored by UTB, Kampala Sightseeing, and KCCA and organised by Tendo Bikes
