On Thursday, Kibuli beat Rwanda's Kirambo 31-19 in the semis and only Kenya's Kamusinga who eliminated compatriots Apega Girls 22-21, stands in the Ugandans' way to their second consecutive podium finish.
It will be a repeat of last year's final in Gulu, Uganda, where the two sides met, but Kibuli came out victorious with a 25-21 win.
"We are well set for the final and our prayer is that we retain this title. We don't want to look at the past but we want to focus on what we want at the present," Said Kibuli team captain Shakilah Bako after today's semi-final victory.
Ugandan affair
Uganda has for the last 17 years of the FEASSSA games, been unchallenged in netball, where a Ugandan team has featured in every final, with only Kenya's Kamukunjji (2002) and Tanzania's Filbert Bay (2010), being the only non-Uganda teams having reached the final.
The rest of the years have seen Ugandan teams featuring in the final, where all the finals (15), have been won by St Mary's Kitende, with Gombe SS (2002) the only other winner of the event.
This year's event is not different, as all four Ugandan representatives have made if to the semis, with holders Kitende taking on Buddo SS and news comers St Noah and Luyanzi meeting in the other semi today.
Uganda Girls dominate athletics
The Uganda Girls athletics team has continued their fantastic display at the games, after yet again claiming the overall title with 10 Gold medals before end of Thursday's athletics.
Ugandan girls added to their already six golds won on day one on Wednesday, by winning the girls relays of 4x100 and 1x400m, beating their rivals Kenya, who had only won 2 medals by press time.
There was a remarkable performance from the Uganda boys, who by press time too, were one gold (6) ahead of Kenya (5), after winning the Discuss, Javelin and the boys' 4x100 relay.
In total, Uganda was leading with 16 Gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze, followed by Kenya at 5 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze while hosts Rwanda had 1 gold 1 silver and 2 bronze.
