Sandra Arinaitwe propelled her side with flushes of individual brilliance as she emerged the best female swimmer in the 25-29 category.

In front of her cheering relatives, the 25-year-old excelled predominantly in the 25m breastroke, clocking 31.24, 25m backstroke clocking 25.99, and 25m butterfly clocking 22.35.

Prior to the championships which Uganda hosted for the first time, Arinaitwe had promised to bring her A-game and certainly at the end of the day there was so much for to celebrate

Meanwhile, Formidables's Nana Jacqueline proved deft and precise in the 31-34 women's category. The former Olympiad was almost unplayable.  The 31-year-old  was the best in 25m freestyle,25m breast stroke 50 m breaststroke 25m backstroke, 50m freestyle. She is currently on the FINA anti-doping committee.

Meanwhile, Altona's Marktum   Muziransa  deserves a special mention technically being the most improved swimmers. He was recognized as the most inspiring swimmer. Travelling Tanzania Masters were quite impressive inspite being shorter on numbers.

With the event stretching its wings across the region, it should only get better.
