Despite the harsh weather in Tanzania, Cubs assistant head coach Hamza Lutalo feels his side will put up a good performance in the CAF U17 regional qualifiers.
The two weeks event that kicks off on Saturday in Tanzania will run up to August 26.
"The weather here is similar to that of Uganda although in the afternoons it tends to be too hot, yet we have games which we shall play at 2:00pm and 5:00pm. But I believe we shall overcome this and deliver," Lutalo said.
Uganda will compete in Group B against Ethiopia, Djibouti, South Sudan and Kenya, while Group A will be comprised of hosts Tanzania, Burundi, Somalia and Sudan.
The Cubs will face Ethiopia in their opening game this Sunday.
The winner of the tourney will represent the CECAFA region in the finals of the Africa U17 Cup of Nations in May next year.
