Cranes skipper Denis Onyango is in the clear after after sustaining a head injury during a PSL match on Tuesday evening.

Onyango sustained the injury during Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 away victory over Polokwane City at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.

He was taken to hospital after colliding with Polokwane's Mbulelo Wagaba.

Onyango was then replaced by Zambian goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene on the stroke of halftime.

"I am feeling much better. Thanks for the win and good hard fought game," Onyango said in a video posted on the club's twitter account.

The club also released the following statement on his condition: "Denis is in a stable condition, and will have multiple tests done following a serious head injury."

In post-match comments, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane felt Onyango was not protected by the referee during the game and ruled him out of their MTN8 Cup quarterfinal on Saturday against Golden Arrows.
