KAMPALA - ICC Development Officer, Justine Ligyalingi was on Tuesday among the officials who conducted draws for this year's Africa T20 Cup due in South Africa.

The former Uganda Cricket Association CEO is walking a new path in his new status as an ICC Africa Development Officer.

Ligyalingi continues to serve on a continental level and having aggressively started his duties last month as he tours the ICC Associate members in the region.

In the fall of July, he was in Nigeria to inspect facilities in Abuja and Lagos, commending the country's positive approach.

His appointment is no doubt an elevation of Ugandan Cricket especially for the fact that he becomes the first Ugandan to hold this particular position.

"This means a lot not to Justine alone but the fraternity on a whole. For someone who was trained in Uganda, it means our game here can surely be trusted" said Martin Ondeko, UCA CEO.

He will in the furtherance work closely with the Regional Development Team and a regular at the Cricket South Africa (CSA) offices in Johannesburg, South Africa.

He is a former national cricket team manager, player, and coach at different levels.
