Museveni wins Global Peace Leadership award

KAMPALA - President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni won a global peace award in honour of his leading peace efforts.

The 3-day Global Peace Leadership conference that started on August 1 was held at the Commonwealth Speke Resort Hotel in Munyonyo.

The 2018 Global Peace Award will be presented President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in honour of his leading peace efforts and initiatives in the Great Lakes region and beyond, Shukla Mukesh the Chairman Global Peace Foundation Uganda Chapter has announced.

The sixth Global Peace Leadership Conference (GPLC) is aimed at promoting innovative values-based approach to peace building.

This year’s theme for the annual event is “Moral and Innovative Leadership, New Models for Sustainable Peace and Development”.
