KAMPALA - KCCA coach, Mike Mutebi has tasked his side to focus on their return leg match against Tunisa's Esperance in the CAF Champions League.
Mutebi reacted after KCCA gave away a to 2-0 to be defeated by Esperance on Tuesday night at Stade Olympique de Radès,Tunis.
"They deserved to win since they were better than us. We are going back home to prepare ourselves and see that we can win the return leg.
"We have going to use our home advantage and try to win,"stated Mutebi.
Jackson Nunda opened the lead for the visitors in 18th minute off Gift Ali's assist before KCCA doubled the lead four minutes later through Khalil Chemmam's own goal.
Esperance bounced back through Belel Magri and Saad Gbuir strikes in the 30th and 33rd minutes respectively to have the first half end in 2-2 draw.
Magri returned to hunt KCCA with a winner and also brace in the 82rd minute.
Elsewhere, Walid Azaro, Ali Maaloul and Islam Mohared each had a goal in the 36th, 75th and 79th minutes respectively as Egyptian side Al-Ahly beat Township Rollers from Bostwana 3-0 at the Borg El Arab stadium. Uganda Cranes midfielder Ivan Ntege featured for Township Rollers despite suffering their second consecutive defeat.
Esperance top the group with seven points, three above second placed Al-Ahly. Township Rollers and KCCA come third and fourth respectively with three points each.
KCCA will host Esperance in the return leg on July 28 at Mandela National stadium,Namboole while Township Rollers will Al-Ahly on the same date in Bostwana.
