Karisa made the remarks after Vipers went down 2-1 to Kenyan giants in the quarter-finals at Benjamin Mkapa national stadium

"You don't need to lose concentration if you are playing a top side . It was not an easy game, but am happy that we  tried our best despite the defeat,"stated Karisa.

The Azam Uganda Premier League champions last took part in this tournament in 2011 when they lost to Tanzanian giants Simba SC in the quarter-finals.

This was Vipers second time in the tournament with the CAF Champions League also awaiting them next season.

Gor Mahia which also the home for Ugandan Cranes defender Godfrey Walusimbi saw Jacques Tuyisenge's new recruit Francis Mustafa score for them. Capatin Tadeo Lwanga had given Vipers the lead in the first half.

The final will be played on Friday, July 13, 2018 where the winner will walk home with USD30,000 courtesy of Rwandan President Paul Kagame who has sponsored this tournament for the past nine years.
