THE DEVELOPMENT RESPONSE TO DISPLACEMENT IMPACTS PROJECT (DRDIP)

The Development Response to Displacement Impacts Project (DRDIP) is a Government of Uganda fi ve year Project that is being implemented under the Offi ce of the Prime Minister (OPM). The Project is under-written by a 50 million dollar IDA loan from the World Bank and was decleared effective on 29th June 2017.

The development objective of the DRDIP is to improve access to basic social services, expand economic opportunities and enhance environmental management in the refugee hosting districts and communities.

The DRDIP addresses the unmet social, economic and environmental needs in the local refugee hosting communities in the eleven districts of Adjumani, Arua, Koboko, Moyo and Yumbe in the West Nile Sub-Region, Lamwo in the Acholi Sub-Region, Hoima and Kiryandongo in the Bunyoro Sub- Region and Isingiro, Kamwenge and Kyegegwa in the South and South-West Sub- Region.
