REQUEST FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR SOLAR PV COMPANIES TO SUPPLY, TRAIN AND PROVIDE AFTER SALES SERVICES FOR SOLAR HOME SYSTEMS IN 20 DISTRICTS IN UGANDA

World Wide Fund for Nature is one of the world's largest independent and experienced Conservation organizations operating in over 100 Countries in the world. WWF's mission is to stop the degradation of our planet's natural environment, and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. World Wide Fund for Nature, Uganda Country Office (WWF-UCO) implements a number of national programmes promoting environmental conservation in Uganda.

WWF-UCO received funding from the European Union (EU) towards the implementation of the "Scaling-up Rural Electrification Using Innovative Solar PV Distribution Models" Project, and it intends to apply part of the funds to cover payments to Supply, Train and Provide After sales services for solar home systems in 20 Districts in Uganda.

This Request for Pre-qualification follows the general procurement notice by WWF-UCO that appeared in the UN Development Business and the WWF-UCO websites on 5th October 2016 and in the local press (New Vision) on 10th October 2016.

WWF-UCO hereby invites interested solar PV companies with proven technical capabilities, certified products, good financial status, and demonstrated historical performance in distribution of solar home systems to supply, train and provide after sales services for solar home systems to rural areas in 20 districts in Uganda. Detailed minimum eligibility criteria for interested firms are in the guidelines to this call.
