Uganda consistent despite loss to Kenya

Uganda's second finish in the Kwibuka Cricket for Peace Tournament indicates genuine consistence in the annual contest.

Uganda and Kenya are tied on two trophies apiece since the start of the regional tournament in 2014.

In the furtherance, visitors Uganda have been runner-up twice to include Sunday's 39-run loss to champions Kenya at the Gahanga Cricket Stadium in the Rwandan capital Kigali.

This was Uganda's second consecutive loss to Kenya, having lost by 18 runs in the previous year, which tournament Kenya won at the first time of asking.

It is important to note that Uganda sent a schools select side to battle national sides in Rwanda and Kenya. 

The tournament is held to commemorate the lives of at least  one million people killed during the Rwanda genocide.

Meanwhile, Immaculate Nakisuyi continues to be the star she is.

Certainly, her Player of the Tournament accolade re-affirms her credentials, perhaps a chance to feature on the senior team for the much anticipated ICC T20 Women's World Cup global qualifier next month in Netherlands.

The Lady Cricket Cranes are making a first appearance at the worlds.
