Barely two weeks to Martyrs' Day celebrations at Namugongo, in Wakiso district, preparations are in high gear.

A visit by New Vision shows work is going on such as painting the balcony of the martyrs' lake, slashing and also cleaning all the premise of Namugongo Catholic Shrine.

Although the shrine was closed, the first pilgrims have already arrived, while many more are on their way. As of now, security is also tight as only people with identifications are allowed to enter the gate of the shrine.
