KCCA beat Africa champions Al Ahly 2-0 on Tuesday at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

"Our target is to reach the quarter-finals and I believe we have the opportunity to achieve it," Sadam said.

Sadam who returned from injury a few weeks ago, scored for KCCA when powered in a shot from outside the box off Allan Okello's assist in the 73rd minute.  KCCA doubled the lead through captain Timothy Awany's penalty in the 90th minute after Derrick Nsibambi was brought down.

Despite the victory, KCCA had their goalkeeper Charles Lukwago to thank for a stellar performance. He saved a penalty from forward Walid Said Ebeib.

The victory saw KCCA move joint second with Botswana's Township Rollers on three points, while Tunisia's Esperance who humbled Township Rollers 4-1 top the group on four points. Al Ahly is bottom with one point from two games played.

KCCA will now face Esperance in the next game away in Tunis on July 17.
