The Cricket Cranes proved resplendent to claim their second win in the ongoing ICC World Cricket League Division 4. They defeated a lackluster Vanuatu by 81 runs Wednesday at the Royal Selangor Club, Malaysia to remain on course of qualifying for the third division.

Irfan Mohammed Afridi was a major standout in the destruction of the now bottom placed Vanuatu scoring his first half century (51 from 17 balls) in the tournament. He remains a dependable figure on the side having claimed a man of the match 6 wickets in Uganda's previous game against Bermuda.

Earlier in the first innings, the consistent Hamu Kayondo batting at number three had reached 44 from 105 balls as Roger Mukasa and Co continue to recover from their opening game controversial loss to hosts Malaysia.

Left arm spinner Afridi and seamer Riazat Shah were outstanding with the ball going for 3 wickets apiece as Vanuatu were all out for 141despite Andrew mansale reaching a game best 69 runs.

Uganda are now second on four points behind leaders Denmark, the only unbeaten side so far in the series. The Cricket Cranes will now face Denmark in a table toppers clash Thursday. The top two teams qualify for division three with the last two relegated to division five.
