Kutchi Tigers recovered from their opening defeat with a convincing win over Premier Sunday by seven wickets at Entebbe Oval.

It was quite a response to their critics who had written them off following their loss in the season opener against defending champions Aziz Damani.

The win may put them back into  title contention in what is turning out to be a very competitive campaign.

Premier's Peter Kituku scored a team best 38 from 65 for topflight debutants Premier in the first innings of the game. Calvin Watuwa weighed in with 21 from 25 balls.

Kutchi's Vekariya claimed three wickets as Premier were all out for 133 before his side set out to chase the game.

Nanji Pindoriya's top drawer performance propelled Kutchi Tigers in his rather freescoring innings. He struck a game best half century of 52 from 57 balls.

This was the team's first win in the season.

At Kyambogo, Davis Karashani's man-of-the-match performance fueled KICC's 19-run win over giants Tornado Bee.

The all-rounder scored 35 from 36 balls and picked an overwhelming five wickets as Tornado Bee were put to the sword.

In division two, Patidar were eight wickets winners over Avengers at Budo courtesy of Innocent Mwebaza's remarkable 9 wickets.

Denis Musali continued with his run in form scoring a man of the match half century of 50 from 60 balls at the Jinja oval as Wanderers made light work of Budo.

The former won by 9 wickets.
