The beneficiaries were also supplied with poultry feeds.

UMSC secretary for social affair Muhammad Ali Aluma explained that over 20 Muslim women and youth groups from six Muslim districts of Mukono, Wakiso, Luwero, Rukungiri, Kabale and Ssembabule benefited from the project.

"We identified groups and trained them on how to feed the chicks and we believe all the beneficiaries have capacity to look after them," he said

Deputy Mufti Sheikh Muhammad Ssemambo implored the beneficiaries to treat the chicks as their initial capital.
