Toro organizes health camp ahead of King Oyo's 26th birthday

A medical camp was organized by Toro kingdom ahead of King Oyo's 26th birthday scheduled for Monday next week.

At least 200 eye patients have so far received free eye checkup and treatment at the Fort Portal regional referral hospital, Buhinga.

Dr. Tito Beyeza, the kingdom health minister said that 20 eye surgeries have also been conducted.

 He added that 10 orthopaedic surgeries have been carried out.

 
Dr Beyeza said the Kingdom partnered with the North Indian Cultural Association of Uganda to carry out the camp
 
Dhermendra Agarwal, the chairperson North Indian Cultural Association said that the camp was organized with the intension of helping the less privileged eye patients regain their sight.
