Stop wearing damaged clothes - Luwalira

KAMPALA - The Bishop of Namirembe Diocese, Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira, has urged the youth to stop wearing damaged clothes because they depict a bad image of them.

Luwalira said many youth think that damaged clothes are fashionable, but they send a message to onlookers that their brains are damaged.

He gave the counsel on Friday during a ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a three-storeyed classroom block at Luzira Secondary School in Kampala.

Luwalira also confirmed 25 students.

The headteacher of the school, Grace Nantagya Ssebanakitta, said the building would cost sh1.5b and was expected to be completed at the beginning of next year.

The structure, which is expected to house 16 classrooms, will reduce overcrowding in the school.

Nantagya said the funds for the construction were expected to be generated from the various stakeholders and the school management.
