KAMPALA -  Just two days after President Yoweri Museveni made reforms in the security leadership, new changes have been announced - this time in specifically the Police Force.

One of the highlights in the new reshuffle is the re-emergence of Superintendent of Police (SP) Patrick Onyango as deputy Police spokesperson of the Police.

Until his transfer, contained in a radio message by Assistant Inspector General of Police Moses Balimwoyo, who doubles as director of human resource management, Onyango has been working in Police's press unit.

Scores other transfers and appointments have been made in the latest reshuffle, under the new regime of Inspector General of Police Martin Okoth Ochola.

Ochola took over at the helm of the Police Force after Gen. Kale Kayihura, whom he had deputised, was dropped by the President on Sunday.

In the reforms at the top of the security apparatus, security minister Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde also lost his position, and was replaced with Gen. Elly Tumwine.

Although the earlier communication had indicated that Onyango was posted to Kampala Metropolitan Police as spokesperson, Balimwoyo later corrected the information.
