Susan Magara: Body of missing cashier found in Kigo

WAKISO - The body of Susan Magara, a cashier at Bwendero Dairy Farm (BDF) in Hoima district who went missing earlier this month, has been found in Kigo.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Luke Owoyesigire confirmed that "it is true, she is dead" Tuesday morning.

He said Police would communicate details soon.

The 28-year-old daughter of John Magara, the director of BDF, was last seen alive on February 7.

Following her reported disappreance, Magara told New Vision on Friday on phone that Susan, who has been working at procurement offices on Kabaka Anjagala Road in Kampala, had been reportedly kidnapped by unknown people at her residence in Lungujja, a Kampala suburb.

Susan's car was later found abandoned about 200 metres from her home.

A case of a missing person was reported at the Police in Kampala and a search mounted. It was not clear under what circumstances Susan had disappeared.

At the time, a relative of the missing woman said she was introvert and had no grudge with anybody.

Police arrested two people, including Susan's boyfriend.

Cases of missing persons have become common in the country.

Several weeks ago, Case Clinic reported one of its staff members who had gone missing, only for his body to be found burnt beyond recognition a day later.

On January 12, the deputy head of department inspections and quality assurance in the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), Fatuma Sendagire Nabiwemba, went missing.

Later, the office of the DPP told reporters that she had reunited with her family.
