SDA Church urged to transform people's lives

The world SDA leader Pr Ted Wilson stressed that the Church mission is to preach the gospel and transform peoples’ lives.

WAKISO - Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church leaders have been urged to not only focus on just preaching the gospel, but to also work towards transforming peoples' lives.

While commissioning the Central Uganda Conference (CUC) administration block in Kireka, Kira municipality, Wakiso district on Saturday, the world SDA leader, Pr Ted Wilson, stressed that the Church mission is to preach the gospel and transform peoples' lives.

"We must ensure that the communities feel the impact of the Church," he noted.

The three-storeyed structure houses offices of the CUC president, executive treasurer and the executive secretary and a conference room, among other offices. The structure cost sh1.4b to put up.

Ted thanked the leaders for the development and asked them to handle it with care.

The CUC president, Pr Samuel Kajjoba, said the Church had already kick-started the construction of multibillion SDA hospital to offer quality health services to the needy.

Julius Mutebi, the Kira municipality mayor, applauded the SDA Church for promoting development in the area and the country at large, which has helped to transform people's lives.
