KCCA beat rivals SC Villa 1-0 at the StarTimes stadium to move to second place in the Azam Uganda Premier.

The victory means that KCCA are now joint second with Vipers at 32 points, one below leaders SC Villa. But KCCA who have a better goal difference still have a game in hand.

Substitute Allan Okello struck a free kick in the dying minutes after Shaban Muhammad was brought down, to help KCCA register their ninth win this season.

Goalkeeper Charles Lukwago was the reason for KCCA's victory today evening.

Lukwago made two crucial saves to keep KCCA in the game. SC Villa's George Senkaaba and Allan Kyambadde failed to put the ball in the net after the KCCA's defence had been beaten. Lukwago was voted Fortebet man of the match.

He also walked away with a trophy and cash prize of sh100,000.
