The complex will have a 2500-seater capacity with a VIP section.

The construction of a pavilion on the proposed Ntare school sports complex has now taken shape with the work nearing completion since it commenced last November.

The facility that is estimated to cost sh817m, is the initiative of the Ntare old Students under their umbrella association, NSOBA.

The work is entering the third phase of erecting the pavilion stands with seating ground work already finished.

"The work is going on well and we hope to have the first part of the pavilion finished soon. We have had problems with our students going for sports out of school and we hope to have this problem solved soon," Said Ntare School head teacher Jimmy Turyagyenda.

The complex will have a 2500-seater capacity with a VIP section, and a field that will accommodate several sports disciplines including soccer, rugby, handball and volleyball.

In April 2014, Ntare Old Boys converged at the school in a re-union to fundraise for the construction of this complex with about 235m raise.

President Yoweri Museveni and his Rwandan counter part Paul Kagame, both old boys of the school contributed sh100m and sh75m shillings respectively.

In December, another fundraising dinner that raised over sh150m was organised in Kampala with the former students of the school giving a further boost to the project.
