Close to 40 children attended the clinics that have been running at the Lugogo court behind the MTN Arena.

KAVC Volleyball Club Development coordinator Emma Elanyu believes that the KAVC holiday clinic will continue producing volleyball talent for the club and the country following another successful training camp that has been running at Lugogo.

Elanyu who is also the national team libero says the camp has helped them identify the players that the club is going to support in their respective schools.

"When we started in December 2017, the turn up wasn't good, but towards the end, the numbers have grown and the participants are really enjoying the game. Many of them are coping very fast despite facing some drills for the first time,"

"Most of them don't have coaches in their schools but they have coped very well. We have identified about eight boys and eight girls who we intend to sign up for our Serie B team. We are going to make them sign agreement forms and then follow them up," Elanyu stated.

Close to 40 children attended the clinics that have been running at the Lugogo court behind the MTN Arena.

KAVC technical director Sheila Buyungo said that on top of the volleyball, the students received life support talks in the areas of discipline, communication skills and attitude and many more that can help them in their daily lives.

"We have held this clinic for over twenty years and so many players have come through this clinic both in KAVC and for other teams in the country, some of them are even coaching now; it is open to everyone, it is free," Buyungo stated.

The KAVC holiday clinics are one of the approaches of promoting the advancement of volleyball in the country and are one of those methods the club has always undertaken to support the UVF efforts.
