KCCA FC beats Kenya side Tusker

Jan 23, 2018

Apart from the CAF Champions League, KCCA also has another big task of defending the double they won last season.

Youngster Steven Sserwadda was the hero of the day as local champions KCCA FC registered their first victory during their international friendly ties in Kenya.

Sserwadda broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute through Allan Okello's assist as KCCA beat home side Tusker 1-0 on Monday. Tusker, which is also coached by former Police FC coach Sam Timbe, is home to other Ugandan players such as Hashim Sempala and Robert Achema.

This was KCCA's second friendly match in Kenya in a space of two days. Last Saturday, they lost to Gor Mahia 4-2.

KCCA are using the trip to prepare themselves for the upcoming CAF Champions League games that will kickoff next month.

Apart from the CAF Champions League, KCCA also has another big task of defending the double they won last season (League and Uganda Cup).

They will be in action yet again when they face AFC Leopards this Wednesday in another friendly before concluding their tour with a tie against Sopafaka on Friday.

The league champions visit CNaPS SPORT in the first leg of the CAF Champions league  between February 9 and February 11, with the return leg set to be played a week later (between February 16 and February 18).

The winner between both sides will either face Ethiopia's St George or South Sudan's Al Salam Wau.
