In Entebbe, the Regional Forum for Police and Prosecutors on Environmental Crime was held. While the forum went on in Entebbe, a few miles away, in Kampala, the executive director of SEATINI Jane Nalunga (left) and the executive director of Food Rights Alliance (FRA) Agnes Kirabo addressed a press conference on GMOs at Hotel Africana

 

 

At Speke Resort Munyonyo, President Yoweri Museveni interacted with Lady Justice Rachael Arach Amoko, justice and constitutional affairs minister Kahinda Otafire, principal judge Yokoramu Bamwine during the 20th Annual Judges Conference.

It was a busy day for journalists, as they also convened at the Uganda Media Centre for a joint press conference by the Police and the army on the recent security operations around the city. Pictured is the UPDF deputy spokesperson Lt. Col. Deo Akiiki in a gesture of solidarity with Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima  after addressing the media. The two security representatives shed more light on the recent arrests made in connection with, particularly, the death of Case Hospital accountant Francis Ekalungar.

Meanwhile, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Opposition party held a press conference at their head offices in Najjanankumbi, along Entebbe Road. Party spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda (left), Daniel Matovu and MP Obongi Fungaroo Kaps were pictured in discussions.

 

 

It was generally a hot Monday and Mother Nature's wasn't shy to cast its heat upon the site at the Makerere University ground, where the university plans to construct a modern netball facility to host the 3rd World University Netball Championships. The event is due to take place from September 17 to 21 this year.
