Kampala Tennis Premier League playoffs are back

The play-offs are set for Saturday at Lugogo Tennis Club Jamal Ramji Centre Court.

After dominating the regular league games, Tennis Titans team captain Moses Bashaasha is optimistic his side will win this year's edition of the Kampala Premier Tennis League (KPTL).

The play-offs are set for Saturday at Lugogo Tennis Club Jamal Ramji Centre Court where four teams Titans, PTC Warriors, Kinetic and Trail Blazers will face-off in the final play-offs.

At the launch of the playoffs at Lugogo on Wednesday, Bashaasha said  his team dominated regular league season and is confident they will win the coveted trophy.

"We are favourites. We topped all rounds in the regular league and we shall be out to win this trophy," Bashaasha said.

The finals follow an intense four month league of two rounds in which Titans played 42 games before the KPTL qualifiers.

The event is organised by Lugogo Tennis Club and the club chairman, Simon Peter Lwanjo.

"As a club, we are committed to promoting the sport and we shall continue organising this event annually," Lwanjo.

He added that such a tournament will help nurture future talent to represent Uganda on the international scene.
