State House employees commended

Certificates bearing the signature of H.E. the President were handed out to the best performers by the Minister of the Presidency and State House Comptroller.

The Minister for the Presidency Hon. Esther Mbayo has highly commended the staff of State House for being dedicated to their work of supporting the President in his noble duties of ensuring the prevalence of peace and tranquillity as well as development in the country.

"I am very happy to join you today in this celebrations of the end of the year party. I thank you very much for being committed to your work in supporting the President and the Vice-President in carrying out their duties and also ensuring that there is peace in the country," she said.

The Minister made the remarks last evening at the end of the year party organised by State House Comptroller, Mrs. Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye at the Nakasero hill-based offices of State House in Kampala.

Hon. Esther Mbayo, who was the guest of honour, urged the staff of State House, who included Officers and men of the Special Forces Command (SFC), to continue with the same spirit of dedication to their work for peace and development of the nation.

In her remarks, State House Comptroller, Mrs. Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye, enumerated achievements registered in 2017 that included among many others, the establishment of State House Lodges up-country singling out Kawumu in Luwero district and that of Mayuge in Busoga Sub-Region that accommodate Presidential Demonstration Farms where the communities in those areas and Ugandans in general, through visits, can learn modern commercial agricultural practices.

Other officials at the end of the year party included the Under Secretary State House Mrs. Hope Nyakairu, who officiated at the award giving ceremony for staff members who excelled in their duty performance in 2017.
