Kampala-Juba bound bus overturns, 1 dead

ACCIDENT | AMURU
One person has been confirmed dead and eight people injured after the vehicle they were travelling in was involved in an accident at Keyo Parish, Lamogi sub-county in Amuru district.
The Aswa River Regional Police spokesperson, Patrick Jimmy Okema, said the 5:30am accident involved a bus registration number UAJ 880R and a motor bike (bodaboda).
The bodaboda cyclist Micheal Orom died on the spot.
According to Okema, Orom was knocked dead as he tried to cross the road. The bus bus lost control and over turned, injuring the occupants.
The injured were rushed to Saint Mary's hospital Lacor.
According to Okema, the bus, belonging to UZURI bus company, was heading to Juba from Kampala
He said one of the injured, Faith Aisha, is in critical condition.
He attributed the accident to poor road usage.
