Nakawa Chief Magistrates' Court has granted bail to two more men accused of the murder of former Police spokesperson AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi.

Kaweesi was murdered together with his body guard Kenneth Erau and driver Geoffrey Mambewa on the morning of March, 17, 2017, metres away from his home in Kulambiro, Nakawa division.

These are Asuman Mugoya and Abudallah Khala alias Hibwangi Sinani.  On Thursday, Grade One Magistrate Noah Ssajjabi bonded each of them at sh50m not cash.  Their sureties were each bonded at sh500m not cash.

However, Khala could not enjoy his freedom because he is still battling another Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) terror charge alongside Ssenfuka, Maganda, Hibwangi and Ali Mugoya. The magistrate ordered them to re-appear in court on December 21.

Although Mugoya and Khala just like their co-accused had spent over six month on remand without committal, the court had declined to release them over failure to present in court sureties to bail them out.

Recently, the same court also bailed out their co-accused Ahmada Shaban Ssenfuka, Umar Maganda, Abdul-Majid Ojerere, Ibrahim Kissa, Sauda Ayub, Osman Muhammed Omar, Ali Mugoya, Ibrahim Ssemwanga alias superman and Swaleh Ddamulira.

But Ssenfuka, Maganda and Ali Mugoya have since been charged afresh with ADF terror charges
