Eight injured in Masaka road accident

The injured have been rushed to Double Cure Medical Center in Mpigi town with broken limbs

Eight people have sustained injuries in an accident which occurred at a place called Mpanga, Mpigi on the Kampala-Masaka highway.

The accident according to the eyewitnesses happened at around 9:00am today when a trailer rammed into a taxi registration number UBB 496D which was heading to Masaka.

The injured have been identified as Micheal Musisi, Prossy Nakimbugwe, Alice Nakimuli, Judith Nalwoga, Godfrey Nsobya, Sulaiman Kakido and Geofrey Mugerwa.

They have been rushed to Double Cure Medical Center in Mpigi town with broken limbs.

According to Katonga regional Police publicist Joseph Musana, the accident was as a result of a burst tyre from the trailer.
