Uganda U-20 team (The Hippos) captain Muhammad Shaban believes that they have got the capacity to win the forthcoming COSAFA U-20 tournament.

Shaban made the remarks before the team set off for the tournament designed for players under the age of 20 that will be held from December 6-16 in Zambia.

"We are ready to represent our country with pride. It is a pleasure that FUFA honored the invitation from COSAFA organisers. We have trained well and shall strive for the best," stated Shaban who will be deputised by fellow mate at KCCA Julius Poloto.

The team of 20 players (with three goalkeepers) left the country in the wee hours of Monday morning.

 Like Shaban, head coach Matia Lule was also optimistic that his side will put up a good performance.

"I have confidence in the team. They are a talented group and  they are willing to play with diligence," noted Lule

Uganda who will take part in the annual tournament as a guest team, having been placed in Group A with hosts Zambia, Swaziland and Malawi.
