Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) women team coach Hannington Nsubuga has said that his side is still in position to win the national league trophy despite a 3-2 defeat in game one by Nkumba University on Thursday.

Nsubuga told New Vision after their defeat on Thursday that it was too early to give away the trophy to Nkumba.

"Today we had a bad day and whatever we tried failed, but we are going to increase our attack in the next game because they have agood defence," Nsubuga said.

"I am confident we can win this league. What we have to is come on Saturday and win game two so that we go for a decider game three with both side on pressure and the best team wins," Nsubuga explained.

However, his counterpart Tony Lakony said that his side will maintain the tempo they had on game one.

"Yes, we are aware they are a more experienced side and we respect them, but we shall maintain our temple, no panic and minimal errors to win game two," Lakony stated.

He explained that pressure is now on VVC to overturn the lead but his girls are young and fit enough to handle the pressure.

Meanwhile in the men's category NemoStars beat Sport-S 3-1 to win game one of the men's play-offs of the best of three final.

Game two final is on today  (Saturday).
