Police clash with boda boda cyclists in Adjumani

The Police in Adjumani had running battles with boda boda cyclists on Tuesday evening. This was after a Police officer shot one of them dead at Pakele as they (Poilce)tried to rescue a suspected thief.

The cyclists surrounded Adjumani police station, beat up a New Vision journalist, destroying his camera and computer before setting the police station ablaze.

Four police officers were reportedly beaten in the melee and police motor cycle was also burnt.

The Police in the area was forced to call reinforcements from Moyo, which is across River Nile and they were expected to cross using a ferry.
